Radio Ensemble is curated by Ignatia Nilu, commissioned and produced by Abandon Normal Devices. This project is in collaboration with Heri Dono and Gatot Danar. The concept itself emerges by following long steps of brainstorming process. Radio is a breakthrough technology which has long history and still used in daily life which applied in our communication devices until now. Radio simply amplified signals that produce one-way or two-way communication. Then ensemble is an artistic form of music which consists of some musical instrument and produces various sounds. Those two concepts are adapted and combined to form the basic idea of Radio Ensemble that transmitted via analogue radio technology.
Offline private visit will be held in Yogyakarta, Studio Kalahan, and Liverpool, Bidston Observatory, 2-4 July 2021.
